Blessings From the Bible
Genesis 1:22
God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill
the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth."
Genesis 12:2-3
"I will make you into a great nation
and I will bless you;
I will make your name great,
and you will be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you,
and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth
will be blessed through you."
Genesis 22:15-18
The angel of the LORD called to Abraham from heaven a second time and
said, "I swear by myself, declares the LORD, that because you have done
this and have not withheld your son, your only son, I will surely bless
you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as
the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the
cities of their enemies, and through your offspring all nations on earth
will be blessed, because you have obeyed me."
Genesis 26:2-5
The LORD appeared to Isaac and said, "Do not go down to Egypt; live in
the land where I tell you to live. Stay in this land for a while, and I
will be with you and will bless you. For to you and your descendants I
will give all these lands and will confirm the oath I swore to your
father Abraham. I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in
the sky and will give them all these lands, and through your offspring
all nations on earth will be blessed, because Abraham obeyed me and kept
my requirements, my commands, my decrees and my laws."
Genesis 48:15-16
Then he blessed Joseph and said, "May the God before whom my fathers
Abraham and Isaac walked, the God who has been my shepherd all my life
to this day, the Angel who has delivered me from all harm —may he bless
these boys. May they be called by my name and the names of my fathers
Abraham and Isaac, and may they increase greatly upon the earth."
Numbers 6:24-26
"The LORD bless you and keep you;the LORD make his face shine upon you
and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace."
Deuteronomy 7:12-15
If you pay attention to these laws and are careful to follow them, then
the LORD your God will keep his covenant of love with you, as he swore
to your forefathers. He will love you and bless you and increase your
numbers. He will bless the fruit of your womb, the crops of your
land—your grain, new wine and oil—the calves of your herds and the lambs
of your flocks in the land that he swore to your forefathers to give
you. You will be blessed more than any other people; none of your men or
women will be childless, nor any of your livestock without young. The
LORD will keep you free from every disease.
Deuteronomy 28:1-12
If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his
commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all
the nations on earth. All these blessings will come upon you and
accompany you if you obey the LORD your God: You will be blessed in the
city and blessed in the country. The fruit of your womb will be blessed,
and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves
of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. Your basket and your
kneading trough will be blessed. You will be blessed when you come in
and blessed when you go out. The LORD will grant that the enemies who
rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you
from one direction but flee from you in seven. The LORD will send a
blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD
your God will bless you in the land he is giving you. The LORD will
establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you
keep the commands of the LORD your God and walk in his ways. Then all
the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the
LORD, and they will fear you. The LORD will grant you abundant
prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and
the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your forefathers to
give you. The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty,
to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your
hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. The LORD
will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the
commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully
follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. 14 Do
not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right
or to the left, following other gods and serving them.
1 Kings 8:56-61
Praise be to the LORD, who has given rest to his people Israel just as
he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave
through his servant Moses. May the LORD our God be with us as he was
with our fathers; may he never leave us nor forsake us. May he turn our
hearts to him, to walk in all his ways and to keep the commands, decrees
and regulations he gave our fathers. And may these words of mine, which
I have prayed before the LORD, be near to the LORD our God day and
night, that he may uphold the cause of his servant and the cause of his
people Israel according to each day's need, so that all the peoples of
the earth may know that the LORD is God and that there is no other. But
your hearts must be fully committed to the LORD our God, to live by his
decrees and obey his commands, as at this time."

Colossians 1:9-12
For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped
praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his
will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in
order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in
every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge
of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious
might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully
giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the

James 1:12

the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to
